need help making a section flow with the rest - 1/10/2008 11:37:29
I know that is a very vague way to explain my problem. Here's what I want to do. I have a div on the left side for my links. That div is a different color from the rest of the content. I want that div bar to extend to the bottom automatically. I don't want to have to specify a height on each page. How do I specify that I want it to do that? I know it's possible. I've done it before and can't remember how.

You can't make a div expand much past the height of it's content unless you specify a height (which isn't generally a good idea). The best way around this if you want the look of equal columns is to use the Faux Column technique - that way you retain flexibility in the design and get the look you want. http://www.alistapart.com/articles/fauxcolumns/
