womble -> Seems like a pretty good logo company (1/15/2008 18:37:02)

Okay, so that's a bit of an understatement. From what I've seen of them so far I'm damned impressed. It's just reminded me reading Mr Fonty from Finland's ramblings about the worst logo that I was going to mention this company. [:D] I've got a couple of graphics apps, as well as some logo design software that's got some template type pre-sets, and a number of icons that are interchangeable, but I tend to seem to lack imagination somehow when it comes to designing logos. At the moment I'm involved in setting up a new charity, and they're wanting a new logo (the current version's one I did, but it's not very well anti-aliased) so off we went in search of logo services. After looking through some of their work they've got on their site they decided it looked okay, so decided to give it a go. Late on Saturday night I filled in the order form, giving all the details about the organisation, it's philosophy, it's purpose etc., and as there's a committee of 10 deciding on the logo, a summary of the conversation between them all on their forum talking about ideas for the logo, along with screenshots of logos they'd seen on the web they liked the style of. Fast forward to Monday morning when around 10am I got bored at work and decided to check my personal emails...and was very surprised to find sitting in my inbox waiting for me an email from them, complete with 12 logo suggestions for the committee to ponder over and decide which one they'd like to go with and have revisions done of. Of course I've spent most of the evening faffing around with Colorzilla trying to find suitable colour combinations they want on the desired design, accompanied by comments like, "no, a bit lighter than that but not washed out", "can we have a vibrant green", "I don't mind going lighter as long as it doesn't look swampy"... ...I think they've nearly decided though! [:D] Anyway, this is the site if it's any use to anyone: 25poundlogo.co.uk/index.php (possible virus on page, follow link at own risk - see posts below for details)
