Viewing Images at Different Resolutions - 6/26/2001 20:25:00
I am sure there is a comparatively simple answer to this problem.

At the top of my web page I have a table that is split into 2 cells. I have used percentages to set up both the table and the cells. Both cells contain images and both images are centred in the cells. The page looks ok when viewed at a resolution of 800 x 600 but when viewed at 1024 x 768, the page looks a bit strange as although both images are still centred, there is so much white space between them, they look a bit lost.

Is there a way of stretching the images without distorting them so they take more space?

I would be grateful for any help.

The easy answer to that question: No!

The best way to get the "look" you want is to set that table up in pixels to match the pixel widths of your images. That way, it'll look the same at 800x600 or 1024x768.
