WordPress Favicon question. - 2/25/2008 20:36:49
Wordpress seems to add their default favicon (a big W inside a circle) to my clients blog url. Their favicon link is not visible on the page code source. Can we just substitute the clients favicon on that page? Has anyone had any luck doing this?

You can change your favicon anywhere you want. But you are talking about wordpress, that most likely require to change the template.

I add favicons to WordPress sites all the time... I just add it into the document head in the header.php file via Presentation > Edit Theme

BUT

I've never seen a wordpress default favicon on the self-hosted WP sites that I implement so I'm thinking that you're talking about a WordPress.com hosted blog - in which case, from a quick look at Google, it looks like you can't presently change the default favicon.

Thanks Tailslide, that explains the reason I can't change it.
