I started this website in Sept 2007. I've had some adsense clickthroughs but no sales yet. I have no $, so I'm trying to do all the work myself. I am using the screw-ip and fixit method. Can you help me find the right recipe for sales. I've done some article marketing but I've never had more than one vote. I guess I'm not doing that right either. Thanks in advance.

Welcome to Outfront,

We would like to take a look but we would need a URL [8|]

Assuming your site is: http://www.jeffsstorepackage.com/index.php, the first thing to fix is horizontal scrolling I'm getting at 1024x768. Also, the white space above the red bar should be eliminated - all I see in IE7 is a "email a friend" icon - puts the layout in tilt.

Lastly, the header statement "IMC Your Source for the Best Entertainment on the Internet" needs to be in a much larger font to achieve balance and draw needed visitor attention to the purpose of the site.

It's difficult Jeff - what I think is that these days people want to hear an interesting voice about various topics. Your site seems to be completely fed from other sites. While I think that might be a good idea for chunks of the site (assuming permissions etc) I think that you do need something that sets you apart from other sites.

Design-wise, I think everything needs a little more space on the site - you're using quite large font-size which isn't in itself bad (it makes a change to be able to read stuff frankly!) it does mean that you need to give everything a bit more "breathing space" otherwise it looks crowded.

Larry's right about the header - it's a bit uninteresting to look at too (sorry!).

Personally I think that if I were going to do what you're doing I'd look at a WordPress site using one of the many newspaper looking themes. That way you could have a couple of your posts on the front page along with all the feedroll stuff. Using the default theme for your blog page doesn't increase the interest level.

So in summary I think I might look at a Wordpress site with the amazon store embedded into that and use a little more of you rather than relying on feedroll or stuff from other sites.
