Front Page Folder/Content Viewing Problems - 3/1/2008 15:12:43
Hi Everyone - I found this site by googling fp 2002 support :)

I am a long time user of FP and love it. I am now having a huge issue with it that I hope I can get some help in correcting.

Story:

I cleaned my computer up real well and uninstalled most of my software. When I went to reinstall FP 2002 it would not accept my product key - I tried to reach support ( ha ! ) and did everything else I knew to do - nothing worked.

So I ordered a new FP 2002.

Mean while awaiting for it to arrive I installed FP 2000 that I had from the past and hence my troubles began :)

It will not allow me to see my folders and the pages of content in the same area.

Normally you have on the far left your list of page - folder - report - tasks - navigation - etc buttons then the next "row" over you have your xyz. com title and below that all your folders ( in the same row ) - private - images - etc etc. and within those folders when you click on your pages/images are present - leaving you the right side of FP to do your actual work in, while being able to view your folders and their contents at the same time you are working to your right - gosh I hope this makes sense lol

my folders are to the left as should be - BUT my pages/content/images and such are all on the right side - which should be blank page or the specific page I am working on.

So I deal with this - while it is driving me nuts! My new FP 2002 arrives today. I do a full uninstall of FP 2000 - clean cache, reboot etc etc. Install new FP 2002 and it is doing the same thing ! :)

to clarify - fp is giving me from left to right

views - folder list - contents of site

it use to go views - folder list and within those folders where my contents and the far right was blank for me to do the web work on.

I can not stand to work like this -
Can someone please help me put the pages/images etc in the same row as my folders are to the left - leaving me my blank work area to the right?

Can you give us a screen shot of what you are talking about please - it's a long time since I worked with FP2002.

Also, FP 2003 may have been a better choice for upgrading.
