Browsers don't show the background color that appears i... - 3/10/2008 18:17:51
I want a background color to surround the rest of the content on a page. I used the following tag

<body class="body" bgcolor="#CCCC99">

I previewed the page in both Firefox and IE where the background was present. When I published the page, the background color is missing on both browsers.

What have I done wrong?

Take the bgcolor out of the body line and change the body styling in the css file

.body {
	font-family: "Times New Roman", Times, serif;font-size: xx-small;letter-spacing: 0em;background-color: #FFFFFF;}
