Dreamweaver 8 Photos & Graphics - 3/11/2008 17:18:08
In developing a website with Dreamweaver 8, I can successfully place photos and graphics. But when checking out the website with a browser, in place of the photos and graphics there is a blank box with a smaller box inserted in the upper left corner containing a "red ". This occurs for all the photos and graphics.

Sometimes I see the same thing when I open other websites or in emails (MS Outlook) and attachments to the emails.

I have all the major photo programs loaded, including PhotoShop CS2. But it's as if the browser can't read the photos or graphics.

Any ideas about how to solve this problem?

did you upload the image files? what path to the files does your html code show? often, beginners have them showing a path on their own C: drive

It definitely looks like the files were not uploaded. Upload them and do it in the root folder. After you upload them and see if they work you can opt to save them in a different folder provided you set the right path.
