jay08 -> Font Help (3/13/2008 16:09:10)

When I view my webpages in IE the font looks like it's shadowed and fuzzy and just plain wrong...

Does anyone know how to fix this?

well providing a url is always helpful :)

jay08 -> RE: Font Help (3/13/2008 16:41:44)

It's only on my computer... it's not hosted yet!

Sorry...

d a v e -> RE: Font Help (3/13/2008 16:44:08)

haven't you got any hosting through your isp?

jay08 -> RE: Font Help (3/13/2008 16:52:29)

I haven't got a clue... I'm new to all this so I'm a bit wet behind the ears!

d a v e -> RE: Font Help (3/13/2008 16:53:34)

can you post a screen shot even?

jaybee -> RE: Font Help (3/13/2008 17:03:27)

What font are you using? and is it just text or have you stuck it in a text box or something equally awful like a graphic.

jay08 -> RE: Font Help (3/13/2008 17:13:07)

I don't know how to do screenshots...

And it's in a textbox I don't know HTML just using the design page...

jay08 -> RE: Font Help (3/14/2008 10:10:47)

The best way that I can describe it is this:

The words when I type them look normal. However, when I view the file as a webpage, the outline of the words go all fuzzy and the words looks wrong. I'm not sure how to screenshot or anything... I'm a complete newbie to it all...

Thanks,

Jay

take the text out of the text box and just type it normally

jay08 -> RE: Font Help (3/14/2008 11:33:01)

Tried that and it doesn't work...

*sigh*

Oh well, thanks for your help!

d a v e -> RE: Font Help (3/14/2008 12:30:35)

jay08 -> RE: Font Help (3/14/2008 12:54:55)

Sent... don't know if it will work..

Thanks for the help... I'm an annoying bugger!

Jay

d a v e -> RE: Font Help (3/14/2008 13:52:28)

the problem is the text box. take all of that out and just use a table (assuming you're not up to using cascading style sheets and divs;)
and make the table background blue, type the text in and style it to look something like the button you had. set the cell properties to centred vertically and horizontally.

jay08 -> RE: Font Help (3/14/2008 14:09:14)

Thank you ever so much for your help! That worked a treat!

d a v e -> RE: Font Help (3/14/2008 15:22:38)

you're welcome. glad it worked

jay08 -> RE: Font Help (3/14/2008 18:07:14)

Do you know why it was doing that to the text when I was using the text boxes? It just started happening all of a sudden a few days ago - before that it was fine... I was wondering if I had changed something that could have caused it...

It's just annoying because I can't use tables or anything... the design mode was the only thing I could use!

[:(]

Sorry for being a bother,

Jay

d a v e -> RE: Font Help (3/14/2008 18:09:11)

not sure - it's just an MS thing ;)

remember to stay away from all of those MS 'aids' and you will be ok :)

jay08 -> RE: Font Help (3/14/2008 18:47:03)

Ok thanks... am just gonna give up... I can't do anything without text boxes...

Thanks for all your help

Jay
