There are times when I visit sites on the web that
I suddenly get windows installer wanting to run
FrontPage 2000. I already have FrontPage 2000 on
my computer. Been there for a long time. The websites
where this happens are varied and I see nothing to
link them to the problem unless they were created with
FrontPage. Someone told me to look up a installer
fix, but so far haven't found it. I could pull out the old
cd and reinstall, but I do not want to lose my websites.

Download and install MS Security Update for Office 2000 which assumes FrontPage was included in the 2000 Office Suite.

They're safe assuming they are located outside the program files - a typical path statement is: My Documents/FrontPage/MySite1, MySite2, etc.

This might be a good time to upgrade to FrontPage 2003 if you can still find a copy [8D] All FrontPage files, 98-2002, are forward compatible to this version.
