Hi group I'm working on a FP Template. I want to have one of my pages be medical news from a certain organization. They provide the HTML code to do this, but I can't remember where in the template to insert it. (you can see what I want on my current (but being revised) website at http://www.rninsights.com/news.htm) All I can remember from when I did the original site 3 years ago was that you do it in code view! Thanks for any assistance! Brenda

In FrontPage, position your cursor where you want the Medical News Clip to appear, then: >Insert >Web Component >Advanced Controls >HTML (paste code) >OK >Save >File >Publish Site. Yes, you can also do this in Code View but the above is all but fool proof.

Larry, You are SO right, again. Worked like a charm! I keep trying to make this harder than it is. I am almost finished designing the site. I am using a template that is much more complex than I need. but, it has features that make it worthwhile. I believe I can safely delete all the "new page 1, new page 5", etc" that open in the folder list with the template. I really only want have a few pages (3 would be great) but I'm using 5, because the way it is designed, the home page looks like the first of 5 folders you will open. I'm ok with that, and I've been able to change the headings on 4 of those folders (via includes) just fine....except for the last one. It is labeled "search." I want to put the "news" there....and I know I can insert it all right, and I know I can change the name in includes, but there is no associated "search" page in the the folder list, and since the other 3 main headings had associated folders, I'm afraid I'll lose it in the navigation structure (This probably doesn't make sense). Plus, I'm not sure how to get the new page I name "news" into the navigation structure so it works and opens when a visitor might click the renamed "search" tab. I would be happy to send y'all a screen shot of this if that would make more sense. The help menu isn't doing it for me, nor is the "how to" book I purchased. Currently, the 5 pages are just arranged horizontally... INDEX ABOUT CONTACT RESOURCES SEARCH They will contain all my info, so I don't need any other links...just need these to work. In Navigation view >right click the Search folder then rename to News. Then >Tools >Recalculate Hyperlinks. After publishing www.rninsights.com should show News on the left. Wait, I just noticed you already have News on the navigation bar [8D] If you want to eliminate Search from the navigation bar, simply drag that folder in navigation view to a secondary (non linking) level, then right click, > Included in Link Bars, >Recalculate Hyperlinks and >Publish. You may have to post a screen shot if the above doesn't work since I wasn't able to completely follow your narrative [&:]

Larry Thanks once again. I see I have added to the confusion: When you visit my website, you are looking at the current published one. I'm trying to replace that with one quite different.....ie, the template I'm working on, not yet published. I've captured a screen shot of my template's navigation view, but darned if I can get it to paste into this forum.......
