Password protect website - 4/2/2008 14:27:54
Hey all! Got a question. It is easy/possible to password protect my website with Dreamweaver or for that matter Frontpage or Expressions? I'm thinking of working on a family oriented project for only family members and I want to make sure noone can "browse" upon the site and access it without a password. Thanks, Scott

If you've got CPanel with your web hosting then it takes literally two minutes to set up a password on a directory within your site.

Thanks, I'll have to check and see if I have that or not. Well, I checked... No dice... Any other suggestions? Do you know of a good host that offers the cpanel for a low cost? I currently use 1and1. Thanks again.

I use Ehostpros.com for many sites. Cheap so don't expect much hand holding but they have Cpanel.
