Web site critique request - 4/8/2008 15:43:15

Hi there,

Please take a look at my site, and please give your critique on main page. I am currently a student of Internet Application Programmer student. This critique request is part of my eCommerce course requirement. My professor wishes me to experience evaluation input not just from a scholarly level, but also from a peer and professional level.

I only wish the main page to be critiqued on the basis of whether or not it would persuade a consumer to either purchase the item, or at least inquire for further information.

Some of the pages, links or buttons of my site, for example return and shipping policy pages, submit order/registration link and submit payment button are not complete yet, the JavaScript alert box or "currently under construction" message will be displayed when click on these items because my focus of this site is the effectiveness of the main web page.

Any comments are greatly appreciated, as well as any suggestions. Obviously you can disregard the text until I begin the testing/programming phase.

Many thanks in advance for your help!

Well to be honest with you, the site is lacking a certain something..... like a link so we can actually see it.

you have some repetitious styles that can be consolidated. I will let others expand on that. nice to see that your professor is teaching you some basic javascript. many in the business download scripts but lack a fundamental understanding and are at a loss as to how to modify them.

Also check out your pages with the W3C's validator - you've got some HTML errors in there, and you tend to get better marks if all of your code is correct and validates to your chosen doctype. :)
