"includes" has vanished.... - 4/8/2008 20:19:20
Hmmmm, I think I had a mouse finger twitch over in the folder column, and now I can't find my "includes" folder....anywhere.
I'm looking for it because I have a marquee on the site, and I want to get rid of it....it's just annoying! Isn't that where I have to go to do that? I'm going to be in big trouble, now that I can't find it...

Any advice? (Besides "don't be so twitchy?")

I'm 99% sure every FP site has an "includes," right? I know this one did, because I've made changes in there......

Thanks,
Brenda

If you look for the folder via File Explorer, do you see it there?

FrontPage has some includes but you usually put them there. There are also shared borders? Perhaps this is what you are thinking of? If so, this folder is usually hidden by default - with an underscore. Go to Tools - Site Settings. In the Advanced tab, check "Show hidden files and folders" and hit OK. You might need to refresh to show the folder.

By File Explorer, do you mean the "File Search" function, under File? If so, I've searched there, but have not found it. Maybe it never existed, and I'm confusing this with something else. Is that possible? I thought all of the sites in FP had an "includes" folder!

In any case, can you tell me how to get rid of the marquee feature for my heading, and just have it be normal text?

Thanks!
Brenda
PS you included helpful links...thanks!

What's the source code for the marquee? Do you see it on all your page(s) or just one?

It's on all the pages.
I created it via Insert>Web Components>Dynamic Effects>Marquee.

I have a feeling I can just go in there and delete the text, and presto, no Marquee.
Duh.

Thanks,
brenda

If it is in all the pages and you inserted it manually, then yes. Otherwise, please provide the source code for more help. It will usually save a lot of time and we don't have to keep guessing.
