pimpernel -> Creating images (4/17/2008 8:34:29)

Wondering what people here prefer to use to create images/logos/text headings etc? I cannot get to grips with Paint Shop Pro at all and never found it user friendly and that is when it works! Would like to try something else but would welcome any tips please.

I use Photoshop Elements which is the slightly cut down version of Photoshop - cost me £70-ish. I find it does everything I need.

adobe fireworks is a premium web graphics app but has a premium price!
if you don't do oodles of vector work then PS elements is probably a better route

there's also the gimp (free) but if you didn't like psp then you may or may not like it.

Funny I feel the same way about Photoshop and Photoshop Elements. PSP has always done what I needed.

Thanks for the replies. Will give Gimp a go first then if need be will buy Photoshop Elements.

Cheers
