jack2505 -> html page querie (4/22/2008 18:35:04)

Hi all,

I would first like to state I am a novice to dreamweaver, so I apologise for the questions in advance.

Ive created various html files which are linked together and have uploaded them to my webspace. They appear fine when typed into the address bar eg. www.abc.com/123.hmtl

Im stuck though on how I can get one of my html files to appear as my front page. So the 'front page' html file I created would be the first thing that would appear on typing in my domain name.

I hope this makes sense. I really want to just remove the html part from the address, for practical reasons, and create a real front page.

Edit: All html and image files were uploaded into the public folder

The first page (front page, home page.... ), what ever you want to call it, needs to be named index.html. There are other file names or rather extension which can be used. But in your case just rename your "front page" file to index.html and all should be fine...
