ORIGINAL: jaybee Mmmm, with the growing list of client sites that I can't regularly check, seems like something I might consider paying for..... if only it didn't have that nice apology at the top. Hi jaybee, I'm the owner and developer of Nikita the Spider. Sorry to hear that that message put you off so much. (For those of you that missed it -- for a few days I had added a message to the home page apologizing for an hour-long service outage due to a hardware failure.) I realize that a service outage is nothing to be taken lightly, but consider that Nikita has been around for about two years (exactly 2 as of May 28th) and has been offline or otherwise out of service for about 2 hours in all of that time. That's 2 hours more than I'd like, but it's 99.98% uptime. It's true that in that one hour per year when Nikita is offline, you can't access your reports. However, you can always download your reports to your local hard drive. Each set of reports includes a tarball and Zip file as you can see in Nikita's sample reports. Note that Nikita is free for the first 125 pages, so if you have a site that's smaller than that, you pay absolutely nothing. If the site is larger, then the cost is $.02 per page after the first 125 (the first 125 are always free) and you don't have to pay in advance. I encourage you to give Nikita a try; it's pretty risk-free from your point of view. Good luck and happy validating.
