Would Vista be an issue with page loading? - 5/9/2008 0:24:19
I recently had a customer who couldn't open one of our pages...http://www.loghomestore.com/finish-sikkens.shtml#cetol-lognsiding, then click on 'color chart'...it's one of those where the main page fades as the color chart comes to the fore.
The only thing I could figure that was different was he was running Vista. Is there a different IE browser supplied with it? Or?
Regards, Scotty

I can't get that link to open in Firefox or IE7 either.

Dave - you got the colour chart link on that page linked above to open? Nothing happened for me even with the security settings on low.

Oh I've just noticed Scotty - you've got the links formatted as IP addresses rather than actual urls - try replacing:

http://192.168.0.10/media/pictures/cetol-log-siding-color-chips.gif

with

http://www.loghomestore.com/media/pictures/cetol-log-siding-color-chips.gif

It works then.

The fading thing is just lightbox. If it's still not working then check that the CSS for the fade is in the right place as are the various required images.

I made the change in the page 'sikkens-finish'...of course for me, the link to the color chart always worked.
Tailslide, can you tell me if you can open it now?
And how would I be able to tell if they weren't working for others?...I imagine I've got a lot to change like this.
Can someone explain why some folks could open the color chart and others couldn't?
Regards, Scotty

Yes it now opens but the lightbox effect isn't working.

Check the path to all the required images are correct - overlay.png, loading.gif and close.gif.

Also check that you've got all the required CSS either in your stylesheet or in the lightbox stylesheet.
