Using Shared Borders / Draw Tools Unavailable - 6/26/2001 21:42:00
I'm creating my first website with Frontpage 2002. I'm using shared borders (Left and Top) and want to place a vertical line between the left border and main body. I've tried using the DRAW tool, but most of the options are dimmed. How can I get a vertical line on my pages? Thanks!

Unless they have added something to 2002 that allows you to draw vertical lines (???), what you need to do is create a graphic in something like Image Composer (or whatever graphics software you have) and then add that image to the page.

Swirl is right and I seriously doubt if this is possible in FP2002

In general vertical lines are either graphics place in their own cell or are simply cells with a coloured background containing a small transparant gif to hold their size.

If you post some details about what you are trying to acheive (perhaps with a link to an example) we may be able to help more.

Thanks guys. I don't have a place to park my website yet - still working on that, but I'm basically trying to just add a thin vertical line to separate the link bars on the left from my main body of text.

Does anyone know why WordArt and other options are dimmed (unavailble) on the Draw Tool? I can only use the Clipart option.
