JV Power Tools & CCleaner - 5/14/2008 2:00:44
I've had JV Power Tools for over a year now and am pretty happy with it, but while trying to rid my computer of some traces of two old programs which JV Power Tools wasn't having much success deleting, I discovered CCleaner. Is anyone using it? After having cleaned and spy/virus checked my computer, CCleaner still found 18mb of files to delete. On my old computer it found 908mb of useless files after I'd been through it deleting with Windows Explorer and JV Power Tools. The best thing - It's FREE!

I do, and think it's great! Caveat...I'm no techie, just a user who finds my own solutions to problems 'cause I can't afford to pay for help. I like the registry backup feature and the cookie manager. I've never been selective about having CCleaner just get rid of whatever it finds, and have had no problems. As a matter of fact, CCleaner even traced down something Nero embedded that wouldn't let me use another DVD burner even after using a supposed removal tool Nero provided! All ya'll who actually understand Windows could probably go to town with CCleaner.
