for those of you stuck with ie7 - or even those weirdos who actually like it ;) - there is an add on to make it more like firefox

Watch out for this add-on :) Ever since downloading about a week ago, IE browser call-ups would periodically freeze my machine. Only out thereafter was to kill power :)

Uninstalled IE7 Pro this a.m. and ... so far, all is well.

No. Just glad to escape without any (apparent) strike damage. Ran serveral utilites including two registry cleaners after the uninstall. Ticking right along ... so far.

Finally the slowdowns & freezes all but rendered IE7 hors de combat.

Troubleshooting research indicated the strong possiblity IE7 Pro corrupts the Google Toolbar. After the GTB uninstall this a.m. browser commands have executed normally. Keeping my fingers crossed this behavior will continue or, gasp, I may have to switch to FF.

I learned the hard way - hopefully you can benefit from my (typically aggressive) mistake :)

:) Larry i was going to suggest you switch to firefox, but if you had this amuont of trouble with browser enhancements then i hate to think what moving to another browser might to do to your system :)
