I haven't had a chance to download it but Beta with Adobe is usually a near complete project.

yeah it looks quite nice! just had a quick play... same interface as the rest of the cs3 suite.

FrontPage has a navigation view. Looks like a box drawn organizational chart where you can drop and connect, or prune and reorganize your site. I downloaded DWCS3 and looked at its site Nav organization and did not like it at all... just was not as functional for web site management.

Does DWCS4 beta have a better performing Navigation screen for site management ???

I never use that site management tool. They probably work very well in small sites. But I run sites with over 1000 pages so I just use a good folder structure. DW or FP for that matter any tool is great when you complement it with a strong base of knowledge.

Features look nice, but nothing impressive enough for me to label it as a must have upgrade. I like the new Subversion integration, I've used svn before, very nice stuff [:)]

Anyone know if it can be run simultaneously with DW 8 or DW CS 3? As two independent applications

Yes--I'm running CS3 and CS4 BETA--the install is into a separate folder and can be uninstalled without consequences. The BETA is good for 30 days after product launch which is rumoured to be in the fourth quarter of 2008.

Sounds bad since I'm the orginal poster but I havent used DWCS4 yet. If you've used do you think it is a worthwhile upgrade? I want to see what happens with Flash CS4!!

TexasWebDevelopers -> RE: DreamWeaver - CS4 Beta is here (8/1/2008 15:24:03)

I really like the CS4 version. Open a page and all of the related files (css, xml, includes) appear as tabs on a tool bar at the top of the page you are working on--very nice time savings device. Also a much improved interface for CSS--quite a bit less cluttered. There is enough of a difference from CS3 to CS4 to make it worthwhile to download and take a look at.
