ORTrek -> RE: WindowsXP and FP2000 (1/16/2002 11:42:56)

Ok folks, I finally got some real answers. I finally go through to Microsoft on the phone and due to the fact that their online support has been offline, I got some FREE answers. I was put through to the Frontpage help desk. Guess what, there is NO conflict with Frontpage 2000 and WindowsXP Home version(pat yourself on the back if you said this all along). They had me upload one of my pages to their server, it worked perfectly. So, the problem was Geocities after all. To fix it, I went into Geocities and under RESOURCES selected HOME PAGE SETTINGS. Then, I clicked on the link that says DELETE WEB SITE. I was concerned that I would lose the entire account, email and all, but it only removed my website. This CANNOT be done using the File Manager. I then had to re-establish my webpage and upload it again. It worked beautifully! I still don't know if the original problem was due to the change to XP Home or if it was a conincidence. My gut feeling is that the change did cause the problem, but, as you see, it is easily remedied. Thanks for all of you who gave advice.
