_gail -> What's in the ads? (5/31/2008 19:21:51)

An associate program I've used for more than a year recently merged some of their ad formats and changed the way they look and target. Unfortunately, their changes involved the two main ads I've been running throughout my site.

The overall change is giving me, and I bet other website owners, an humongous Excedrin headache.

Anyway, I'd appreciate if some of you would be kind enough to click through a few pages and let me know what product or service you see displayed in the small Chitika ads. They are in the right hand columns on many pages. (Ignore the similar larger ads running at the bottom as they will be removed and replaced).

If you can NOT see any Chitika mini-mall ads, let me know too and what country you're from.

Here's one page to begin:

Thanks in advance!

Thank you everyone for the input. You're all from countries where their ads (are supposed to) target.

The graphic ads used to feature products; all I had to do is enable a Chitika ad and type in keywords in the CMS set-up. In other words, the ads are not individually placed on pages (hope I'm explaining myself okay).

Now the new ads, when and if they target at all, seem to promote sites that sell products rather than feature actual products.

I'd love to find another program that works as the Chitka ads originally did. Do you know of any?

Thanks again.

Oh wow! I've never "met" a subscriber and it's nice to know that you've been doing so for a long time. I'm honored! Thank you.[:)]

I just can't get a handle on why this is happening.

I get a lot of mortgage ads too but if I reload the page a more proper ad appears. Reloading a page is certainly not something a site visitor will do, so this is a problem.
