Code Formatting - 6/5/2008 10:52:16
In Dreamweaver my code is formatted just fine with line breaks & indents. If you view it through another HTML editor or in textpad it's all on one line making it very difficult to make changes if I don't have Dreamweaver available at the time. Any suggestions on how I can keep the format consistent whenever I view it?

NotePad has a wrap text (word wrap) feature under the format menu. Does that help?

Here's the website. View the code & tell me if it's all on one line for you as well.

http://www.northtexasboxing.com

This is the only website that has the formatting issue. Anything else I've done keeps it's alignment. I use ACE HTML editor at home & all of my other sites are just fine...this one's one long line of code.

I viewed the source and it's NOT all on one line for me. If it is for you in NotePad just choose Word Wrap under Format

Sorry, just realized you said you use ACE HTML. Does it have a word wrap feature?

This is crazy here at work it works fine. At home it's messed up. I just viewed source & it opened in notepad. Even after doing the word wrap it's still a big blob of code.

when you're in code view in DW click the 'format source code' on the left-hand icon bar (the Coding toolbar) (it's the last one with a paintbucket and the angled brackets <>
