Display partial field - 12/11/2001 9:07:08
Hi, This is something i have wanted to do for a long time but assumed i couldn' t do it. Time for someone to prove me wrong....I have a marketplace i designed in Frontpage with ASP. I want to diplay a few items on my frontpage, the newest ones added. No problem there but i also want to have part of the description of the item on that page. The description could be 50 characters or 500 characters so i just want to display, say, 100 character of the description followed by " ..." so users know there is more description. How can i do this? THanks in advance and great job on the forums spooky...this is my first trip bac as i was away for awhile.

Thanks,
John

The code needs to be on a 'diet' of you're using the DRW:

<%=Left(FP_Field(fp_rs,"myField"),100) & "..."%>
