shanrick -> Front Page Border Color Problem (6/7/2008 19:20:21)

Help, I don't get this.... I have a problem with my borders on my website The site show alright in IE, but not in firefox.

On this design:
www.sequimdairyqueen.com
There is supposed to be a whiteborder around the page, like it shows in IE, but in firefox it has black boarders. Also some of the boarders are missing in foxfire?

Am using Front Page for the design? Is something wrong with my HTML, I looked at the color code in my Frontpage codes and the color codes appears to be correct?

How can I fix it so it will show up right in firefox?
Help would be GREATLY APPRECIATED!

Debi, you have some coding errors that I noticed. The most important is a lack of the <html> </html> statements.

If you created that page with FP something happened but I don't know what. FP will include the html statements automatically so you must have inadvertently deleted them. It also appears that your body tags are in the wrong place also.

You really need to get a book on web page design and read it or use the tutorials on this web site. If you are using FP start here: http://www.outfront.net/tutorials_02/getting_started/

If you use the following, Firefox seems to read the coding correctly:
Right click inside the table to bring up the menu.
Choose "table properties" (or "cell properties).
Choose "style" (at the bottom left)
Choose "Format"
Choose "Border"

Then choose the border properties for each side of your table [or, cell(s)]. Best to use 1PX OR 2PX OR 3PX, ETC. for the border thickness.
