Strip out FrontPage code ? - 6/8/2008 8:11:42
I am trying to update and redesign a web from a couple of years ago. I will be publishing it to a server that does not support any FrontPage extensions and is a Linex server so I am thinking that I should strip/delete/change any FrontPage coding so the site is clean as possbile. Are there any reliable tools to do this for me? Any tutorials or guides in how to convert a frontpage web into a HTML web? I'm working on my HTML and CSS skills but don't feel I've mastered them.

When I have done this previously I have used NoteTab Lite to strip out the html tags and you can set it to leave urls in place. Then I also use it to convert html to xhtml. It does a lot of other things too and best of all it is free. The Web Developer Firefox extension is also handy for doing the final tidy of pages. You tend to get into a rythym doing this and because it strips all html, not just FP generated stuff you will find that you get more familiar with the code. I don't know of anything that focuses on FP code only.
