how do you change form permissions in EW? - 6/11/2008 15:23:49
I have been searching high and low but cannot figure this out.. The forms on my website are not working correctly, they ask for a username and password when you click the submit button instead of sending the information and taking the user to the confirmation page. My web host assures me that the front page extensions on my account are working right and that it is a problem with the permissions or .htaccess within the forms themselves. How do I use Expression web to take off the permissions so that my forms will work correctly? I cannot find anywhere within expression web to modify site security/permissions/.htaccess. Thanks so much! the website is www.customcontentcompany.com if that helps.

thanks for checking it out, these forms are really frustrating b/c they will work on my computer, and apparently yours, but they still will not work on the other computers that I have tested them on...

I have figured out that they only work if you type in the www before the url, if you don't then the www does not automatically come up like it does for most websites and the form asks for a username and password. Any ideas?
