SerenityNet -> How to clear all future entries from Outlook Cal (6/13/2008 8:38:56)

My Outlook at work is totally messed up. Daylight savings time shifted off recurring meetings. People cancel meetings and the meeting stays. It says, "Cancelled", but it still shows to others as blocked out time. People update meetings. The new one is added, but the original doesn't disappear. Meetings sometimes just magically reproduce and I'll have four of the same meeting. I can't kill recurring meetings, unless I originated them. The list goes on-and-on.

Our IT hasn't figured it out and my Calendar is now essentially useless. I'll uninstall and re-install Outlook. But is there an easy way to mass wipe out all future events, so I can start fresh?

Thanks,
Andrew

PS. I do have NEO installed, but I was having these problems before NEO, so I don't 'think' that's the problem.

Andrew, have you tried this fix yet? I had a couple of people here in the office that had problems and once they ran this tool they were all set (AFAIK).

Odd it should be showing up so late after the fact????

Yes, our IT pointed us to the fix way back when. I'll run it again, just in case something didn't stick. But the time issue is only one of the many issues. The worst is appointments not rescheduling/updating or staying active on the calendar when canceled.

But assuming the problem continues, is there a way to kill all future entries?

Thanks,
Andrew

UPDATE:
  • I just performed some Google searches. It seems the symptoms I'm having may be related to my Blackberry. I see others describing the duplication / rescheduling problems, although not with my model. I think I'll point our IT group in this direction and see if they can find anything. Although if anyone has any experience with this, I'd appreciate the pointer.

  • On the topic of deleting future entries, I found the following here.
View your calendar by category: Stay inside calendar, go to menu View -->current view-->by category, short by start time, then you can delete easily many appointment at the >same time.
