Update part of text in memo field - 6/19/2008 4:02:39
I have Access 2000 db, a Table name FORUM_REPLY , table name R_MESSAGE and it is a memo field. I would like to know if it is possible to amend part of the text stored in this table. I have hr height="1" and I would like all occurances changed to hr size="1" Is this possible, if yes any help would be greatly appreciated. Andy

Are you looking for a more or less standalone routine that you can run to do a periodic cleansing of the database, to make that substitution a permanent part of the datafield, or rather, when that memo field is extracted to look at, or send on for other purposes, to only make the change then to the updated information but leave the original as was. In other words, is there a mechanism now in place that prevents any more hr height- hr size inversions, and we only need to fix what is there now or is the error an ongoing thing, and corrections done as a regular processing routine.
