When I bought my HP laptop, I thought I was buying one with a DVD drive that could write DVDs. When I try to copy some Word files, I get a message that says E:\is not accessible. Incorrect function.
Here is the info on the drive: HL-DT-ST DVDRAM GMA-4082N [CD-ROM drive] Is this a drive that can write DVDs?

Usually the DVD drive designation reads something to the effect "DVD+RW" although I can't imagine any OEM drive in today's technical environment not having a "burn" capability.
Check: Control Panel >>System >>Hardware >>Device Manager then click on DVD/CD-ROM Drives. If you see a yellow flag beside your drive it means a driver is either corrupted or missing. If not, the next point of contact is HP tech support for clarification.
