media player or flash player insert? - 6/27/2008 14:02:49
Hi,
I'm coming "unglued" - I think is the technical expression - on a one page site which I just need a "simple" little "play this sound file" button.
The site is at whoisjenny.org
The little silver 3rd party .swf file that is currently on the site works just great in Firefox but, does not work in IE - I've only spent the requisite 271/2 hours trying to get it to work in IE!!!
Either:
a) can someone please help me with the correct code for IE on that webpage above or,
b) when I insert the Windows Media Object from the EW2 menu, how do I make the WMP into a nice little button like that?
c) When I insert the Flash Player from the EW2 menu - how do I get it to play an mp3 file.
The current object and embed code was obtained from sourceforge.
All I want is a cute little player button that works in both IE and FF.....
Can anyone please glue me back together?

You are having fun aren't you. Discovered that IE doesn't like your video. Been there, done that. You can search on Google for a Javascript solution to your problem but it is a crutch.
We now recommend our clients use Vimeo to host their webs. It works and you don't use your bandwidth to display the video.

Thanks for the "simple solution"! - I love it....
This isn't even a movie - per se - all I want to do is play an .mp3 sound file....
Arghhhhhhh - why is it never never never - easy! - But I do love billing the clients!
