FrontPage to EW - 7/1/2008 21:29:57
Hi,

As a Frontpage user, I've tried on a couple occasions to work with EW but, don't know enough to get there from here. Sooooooo, I'd like to make a baby step and create a site in EW using tables (i know, i know...) just to get used to it. The site I'm designing has a top, left, & right cell that remains the same on all pages. Only the center cell will change. I would normally use Frontpage includes for those border cells.

In general, what should one use in EW that replaces FP includes or shared borders? Just need a place to start at least.

Thanks in advance!

You can use Includes in EW just as you did in FP. First version of EW excluded the include feature but it is in the later version of EW. Now if you have the earlier version of EW you can still code in the Include code and still achieve the same results.

Example:
<!--webbot bot="Include" U-Include="page.htm" TAG="BODY" -->

too cool...it worked thank you!!!!!!

the trial version must not be the latest version. Sounds like there might be some nice additions in the newer version.
