Cordless Optical Mice - 7/9/2008 3:46:33
Last weekend I lashed out and bought a cordless mouse for my desktop, but just as I'm about to open the box to install it on my repaired computer, I notice that it's a Logitech V220 Cordless Optical Mouse for Notebooks!

Will it work on a desktop?

If not, I haven't cut the packaging and may be able to swap it over.

Nicole,

Yes. I use a Logitech wireless laptop mouse for both laptop and desktop. Like the way the laptop versus the "regular" or desktop size fits my hand.

I've had 2 cordless Logitech mice for my laptop. I love them but they don't seem to last very long befor they stop working...and it's not the battery.

Thanks Larry and Bob.

I was beginning to think it was a silly question, I'll install it in the morning.

Never had this problem with mine; they are both reliable workhorses. I suspect there is a intra-resource relationship to your HP Pavillion memory problems. Sounds to me like it is in the process of "going south".

Had bad luck with a cordless optical mouse on the wife's Vista PC. It had jerky movement and a lag between movement of the mouse and what you saw on the screen.

i only buy cordless mice for all of my machines...like Don, i noticed a lag in the pointer on the screen (but i tend move the mouse around very quickly and hate mousepads)...i spent the extra couple bucks on a laser mouse, and havent used anything else since

Don & Matt,

Just in the off-chance you don't know this: >>Control Panel >>Mouse >>Pointer Options >>Pointer Speed = Fast. Any slower speed = various degrees of lag for me.
