A site I made for my wifes business. Still in the works, but I wanted some feedback from the pros.

www.rockabillyragz.com

What do you think???

Sorry, only just seen this.

Well I'd get rid of the entry page, it's a waste of time, more clicks for your visitors and, as there is no content, it won't rank high in Google.

I'm doing a site with a black background now and it's a challenge. White text can be very hard to read so I'm going for a pale grey or cream although I did get one complaint about cream on another site so I reckon I'll use #cccccc.

Be careful with your reds. Against black they can pulsate. Your nav is fine on my monitor but others may have problems. Can I also suggest that something should happen when you mous over the links, either change colour or shrink a bit or something. At the moment it looks like it could just be text.

Your in page links are blue and almost vanish into the background. change the colour. Go with orange or something.

Other than that it's good. I may even know a few possible clients for the clothes.

Agree with all of Jaybee's suggestions - why have they not been implemented yet?
The background image body.jpg is far too large at 186,876K
The blue borders around the images and the blue hyperlink colors don't work with the black background.
Photoshop your images so the sheet is cut out of the backgrounds--very unprofessional looking.
A few changes and your site would be a winner--as it is now, I wouldn't trust it as an e-commerce site--you have no returns policy posted--no privacy policy--no shipping policy--no contact information (your company address and phone number at a valid physical address)...

I agree with jaybee, furthermore I'd say this:

I would have visitors access the shop directly without any delay. Now, if you really want an intro, I would do something like this http://www.abcdenver.com/rockabilly.html (of course, this is just a draft) The idea is for visitors to have access to your menu immediately. Avoid extra clicks. Another element of the draft I quickly did is the fact that a solid black background is hard to handle. This background has delimiting shapes that give a better optical perception.

I really like the entire concept of the business and your logo is nice

I also feel weird about conducting business online if there is no physical address. If you work out of your home and don't want to give your address away, use one of those mailing addresses where you get a suite number and not a PO box.

Your site has so much to exploit is makes may mouth water. It's the kind of site I like to do because one can really get creative there

Thanks.

I figured he can probably use Swish and save himself the Flash learning curve and also save some money. He can probably get Swish for around $75 vs a few hundred for Flash

FIX YOUR LINKS QUICK. They are dark blue on a black background. Impossible to see on my monitor.
