amyk Posts: 1 Joined: 7/24/2008 Status: offline	need help opening .scn, .ndx, .dat and .exp files - 7/24/2008 17:01:23 I have a bunch of old index files off an old mainframe that we need to be able to open. I believe they are pre-access database files, possibly off an AS-400. Can anyone open and convert to a newer format or tell me how? Thanks! PS: I can see the properties of each file in a dbf viewer, but not the data...

Type the extension without the . in the search box. If they're off an AS400 it will probably be Visual Basic or possibly C++. Not sure if the current version will open it but you may be able to get hold of a trial copy to give it a go. _____________________________ If it ain't broke..... fix it until it is.
