Creating a User Guide/Tutorial with Flash - 7/30/2008 12:44:29
I've been asked to create a user guide using Flash. I've created animation in Flash before but never a tutorial or user guide that's user driven. Does anyone know where I can maybe find a template or directions on getting started with creating one.

Thanks.

user driven? Like clicking a button to go to the next page? Or searching for specific text? I assume this need not be SCORM compliant? How about internally--will there be example videos embeded? To me, there is a huge difference between a tutorial and a user guide. Can you give us an idea of the subject matter?

Basically it will be a tutorial giving directions on how to use this new program. They're going to give training on the program & then later instead of having to teach people the same things over & over they can pull up the tutorial to be reminded on how to do things. So they can click on different subjects & the verbage for that particular subject will appear.

I would look at using Captivate or Camtasia Studio for something like that.

I agree-Camtasia or Captivate is the way to go.
