Plz HELP, I cant recover my Vista - 8/9/2008 5:21:09
Dear all,
i have a problem with recovering my windows vista, well as u know, HP has a strange policy in their laptops, so i bought an HP pavilion Special Edition, and i repartition the hard disk, now i want to recover the vista, but every time i press F11 to recover it, it starts normally to the current windows installed on it. and when i open disk management i can see the partition but the partition has no drive letter, and when i right click it i only see Help nothing else, so can anybody help me please?

Sounds like you shrunk the HDD partition rather than creating a new. Now just tried booting into windows? Recovery usually slaps you in safe mode which disables a lot of features, like partition management

thx alot for your reply buddy, well i have shrunk the partition when it was on the vista, then i installed XP and created another partition, now i cant see the partition, so what should i do?

You're not going to be able to create a partition on that part, you need to create one of the Unallocated space. The 11.16GB partition is configuration files for some other OS/program. You will only be able to utilise the unallocated space.
