Email Manager and Marketing Program - 8/14/2008 17:10:58
I am looking for the best software to manage a large email list and use when I want to send out an email blast or update to subscribers to my site. I an wondering if there is a software program that will help me organize the 2500 email addresses I have and help me send out email-blast without getting tagged as a spammer by the servers.
Let me know if you are using or have found a software program you are happy with. I am current looking at products like http://www.download.com/MailList-Controller-Free/3000-2367_4-10219668.html?hhTest=1&cdlPid=10856463 but the $99 price for the "unlocked" scaled down program is a bit high.

I have a little over 3000 contacts and I would need to stay away from any outside ads.

I always like reading fourms when the person asking the question writes their end result.
I ended up going with the Maillist Controler I listed above and I have been very happy. I paid $99 which gives me 10 lists up to 10K contacts, more that enough to handle my 3k contacts newsletter. Best of all it is a one time payment and I don't have to maintain a subscription with any third party service. This means I can send a newsletter whenever I want.
I liked the eamil address program and easily brought in all my contacts from an excel csv file. It has good controls so I won't be labeled as a spammer like disconecting from the server after every 20 messages. I can set up templates for my newsletter and include a text version for any system not displaying html email. I can now include both an opt-in and a opt-out that I can set up to automaticaly update my mail list. I can also select the option to have dead email addresses removed from my mailing list.
Overall pleased with this piece of software and I would recommend downloading and playing with the free program if you are a small user with similiar requirements.
