ie8 - 8/20/2008 16:53:41
does anyone have ie8 (beta or whatever ) installed?

if so can you have a very quick look at http://chargercomposites.com/sailing/index.html and tell me if the menu on the left flies out to the right, or to the left and off the screen. i only have IE tester with an emulation of IE8 beta so not sure whether it is accurate.

thanks

Looks OK on my version of IE7 but takes a long time to load.

CSS with javascript is screwy in many large commercial sites in ie BETA 8--right column "most popular" link text in cnn.com is nearly hidden--I'm hoping it's a browser bug.

It's still a Beta - problems may be fixed before final release...

Yes but I can't find a common thread--it will hang on browser close about one time out of five and only when there is one tab (page) open.
I'm still playing with it but so far it's better than I expected. The transition to "quirks mode" to emulate ie7 is a simple button that almost instantly shows the page in the same window. Ending the session or even opening a new tab will cause it to revert back to ie8 mode.
