Grrr, this form is driving me nuts! - 8/27/2008 13:23:19
Hey Guys
First time here :)
Before I go find a cliff and jump off of it (not many of those here in Florida) can someone please help me with this form issue.
I started over and rebuilt the form completely in it's own page. It's at http://www.renewrepair.com/orderform2.htm
I get the confirmation page but do NOT get an email telling me an inquiry has been placed.
No matter what I try, I can get the form to actually work but not send it to me!
Any ideas please?
The code looks OK, I dunno :)

It looks like a FrontPage form, so maybe your hosts FP extensions are not enabled? By the way, I recommend that you use a different form as FP forms are not secure.

I use this one on a unix host:

If I understand the above, these are one in the same. The FrontPage Reply Form returns one site visitor response to the developer designated email address, in your case: mark@equitysharellc.com.

As Don mentioned, the FrontPage Reply Form, which does have inherent security issues, requires Extensions to operate propertly.

Are you publishing the site correctly using frontpage/sharepoint or are you uploading via FTP? Not to further frustrate you with the simplicity of this question, but I see people make this mistake all the time.

If you get to the confirmation page ok, you have FP Extensions and your form is fine. You can try sending the form data to a file, it'll work.

Make sure your email is correct and that the web server FP Server Extensions is configured to send email. Your host should be able to advise you on this.
