I bought a new computer that has the premium 64 bit. My canon won't run and they are not going to make a new driver for the imageclass 3110 they have made a new version. So I need to buy a new printer. I also use DreamWeaver 8 to manage my web site and need ultimate for that. So the question is should I buy the ultimate 32 bit and use my printer that I have or buy the ultimate 64 bit and buy a new printer also?? I guess the question is what is the difference between the 64 bit and 32 bit.

Assume you meant Vista Home Premium for your OS? Yes you have stumbled on the major problem of purchasing the 64 bit version. A lack of drivers for some equipment and for some software. You have to make the decision of whether you can afford to buy new equipment or not. Otherwise you will have to install the 32 bit version. And that means you may have to reformat your hard drive first. Maybe someone here has done it and can advise on how to go from a 64 bit OS to a 32 bit OS.

Yes I did mean Vista Premium. Here is the thing I need to decide, Do I need Vista Ultimate to use Dreamweaver, to be able to set it up for a data base and to view the site on my computer before uploading? Or will Vista Premium do everything that Vista Ultimate will do for running dreamweaver. You know how you have to have xp pro instead of Home. And do I need 64 bit for anything? Because if it doesn't mater then I don't have to buy a printer if I buy Ultimate 32 bit

Vista Premium should be just fine for you to do what you want. The big difference between 64 bit Vista and 32 bit Vista is the amount of memory the OS can address. I believe the 32 bit can only handle 3 megs while the 64 bit can handle much more. I do not know the upper memory limit but you can find 64 bit machines with 6 megs of memory selling at big box stores here in the US.
