Novice needs help inserting an image - 9/17/2008 12:26:54
I am working from a purchased expression web template. All is going well except I am having trouble getting an image (in this case a logo) to render correctly. The image is very fuzzy. In the style sheet, the author has created a background as follows:
.tall_top { background:url(images/tall_top.gif) left top repeat-x #fff;}
.tall_bottom { background:url(images/tall_bottom.gif) left bottom repeat-x;}
The .gif images repeat and create a dark gray backround which I would like to keep, but I am having trouble getting this logo image to appear clean and clear.
I am attempting to place this image in a div on the index.html page as follows:
<div class="col_1" style="z-index: 1; height: 83px; position: absolute; top: 0px; left: 0px">
<div class="indent">
<img alt="" src="JulLogo2.gif" width="198" height="20" style="z-index: 1; position: absolute; top: 44px; left: 42px" /></div>
</div>
The image was created in Adobe Illustrator, so I can save in a variety of formats.
Any suggestions?
