e-mail - not receiving - 9/26/2008 13:26:02
People tell me they sent an e-mail from the website. The e-mail was never received. The sender said they did not get a return message or anything telling him the e-mail was not received.

Any ideas why I get some e-mail and not from others?

Assumption - you are using Frontpage to create the form and FPSE to process the form?

If so, have you tested the form yourself and does it work? Does the form work with hotmail, yahoo, aol, or gmail email adddresses? Did any of these people seem to have something in common? Is the recipient of the form a hotmail, yahoo, aol, gmail, etc or is it your email address with your domain name - for example, levins@example.com?

It is not a form. You click on contact us and it opens up your e-mail program, like outlook. The email address is info@domain.com

Two people who I cannot receive email from are using their company e-mail. keith@domain.com

Usually this causes a dialog box warning the user that a program is requesting permission to open outlook. Some will say no and some will say yes.
:)

Can the user send you an email from their email client by typing your email address into it? If so, chances could be he / she is choosing no to the message.

I get email from them. I will have them send an email by typing the address. Thanks.
