newbie - Help - 10/1/2008 15:45:20
Guys I am new to Expression web but I like it so far. I bought it to design a cool myspace site because I read that myspace uses CSS. I want to learn more about using CSS for myspace. MP is very limited in my opinion, but I have seen people on there that must be using software like EW because their sites are not vanilla like the ones MP offers. Upon first glance at EP I can't figure out how to load pictures into CSS when I am designing a CSS page. Thanks for your help, I realize I am a amatuer at this.

The images will be in the background. Usually, you will use the html <img> to insert images - this is probably where you want to use most of your images

When I start up EW, you know you can design things in different formats CSS, HTML etc...I chose CSS and then when I go to the drop down menu it does not let me or give me the option of inserting a picture on the page. I must be doing something wrong.
Myspace does not recognize HTML right? I tried inserting a HTML code and the page was very whacked out.

Thanks for the reply. I sure hope you can help me.

That's because you don't really "insert an image" into CSS. You use CSS to help layout your website, add colors / backgrounds to it.

I know nothing about MySpace. You might check out How to create a Style Sheet and Managing your Style Sheet. Take a look at the W3 Schools. You can apply a CSS page to your HTML page, but I think that you do not have the ability to edit the <head> where you would place your internal style sheet, so you probably would have to use inline styles.
