smcfarland -> Troubleshooting a Font Must Be Installed Pop Up? (10/8/2008 9:41:30)

I am getting pop up that "This page uses fonts that need to be temporarily installed" ... is there any way to troubleshoot to see which one(s) are doing this? It is terribly irritating!

I am taking over a site and from best I can tell, someone is using OSCommerce as a CMS for the site. There are tons of files everywhere.

Thanks in advance!

Hmmm... if it was in the css then it would probably just ignore the request for a font if it's not present. Is it doing it in all browsers or just one?

Only times I've seen these sort of messages is with foreign characters such as Chinese or Japanese.

Mind you - IE did experiment with embedding fonts - I'll see if I can find anything on it.

Only in IE wouldn't you know!

It keeps coming up on every page... the product is from Korea, so I wouldn't doubt it, but I can't find it!

You could try changing the charset to UTF-8. That might possibly deal with it.

I'm not getting that message in IE7 or IE6 but it is broken in IE6 and Opera.
