What is the date??? - 10/15/2008 10:07:14
You know how in Windows you can hover the cursor over the system time in the bottom right corner of the screen and the date appears in a tooltip? For some odd reason, the tooltip has stopped appearing on my account on my PC. If I switch to my wife's account it works just fine, but not on mine. Any ideas on how to get that little feature working again?

OS = XP Pro

Try a right click on the bar, choose properties and see if "Show the clock" is checked.

Just realized that the tooltip is triggering, but it is appearing behind the taskbar. I can see the very top edge. I find it very odd that when I switch to another account, it appears as it should.

Ah, well that's solved that mystery! I was getting that on my old XP laptop that died a couple of months back (infact I was going to ask about it here just as it finally died on me for good). Might be useful to know though if my new laptop ever starts pulling the same trick. Thanks for sharing. :)
