Photobucket Slide Show - 1/7/2009 23:16:01
I am trying to help a friend update his website and he's hosted by a local company. The only way I know how to even get to his site is through my ancient copy of Front Page. I try to cut and past embeded code of a slide show created on photobucket and can't seem to get it to work. Am I just out of luck or does anyone have a suggestion to make this work until I can move his site? Thank you,

I went to photobucket and couldn't find anywhere where they allow you to copy code for your website. Maybe you have to be a photobucket member to do that?

I think from the posting guidelines on another forum I frequent ( , yes, I visit other sites!) on how to embed images in posts, you probably have to register an account on Photobucket to be able to do that, but as it's not a site I've ever used, I'm not 100% Personally, I wouldn't rely on anything hosted on somewhere like that on the grounds that stuff seems to disappear from places like Photobucket, Imageshack, etc. on a regular basis, and the web's littered with blank images saying "This image or video has been moved or deleted." There's plenty of slideshow scripts and slideshow generators available that will generate a slide-show for you that you can host on your webspace itself. If it's a Flash slideshow though, have you checked that you've got the latest version of the Shockwave plugin for your browser though? If your browser plugins aren't up to date, a lot of content won't display. Also, are you actually viewing the site through your browser, or through the browser preview in Frontpage? It's ages since I used Frontpage and I don't have it installed any more so I can't check it out, but I've a feeling that FP's "browser preview" doesn't support all the plugins usually installed on your browser.
