inserting .pdf files - 2/23/2009 16:14:28
I'm having a case of the stupids. I want to insert .pdf files into my web pages so that the file displays similar to a picture. So far, I haven't had any luck. These are scans of old franchise records that take up way too much space as .jpg files. Would someone be kind enough to give me a shove in the right direction.

quote:
I want to insert .pdf files into my web pages so that the file displays similar to a picture (1) create a subdirectory at the root of the web "_files" (without the quotation marks), (2) with the site closed, paste the applicable .pdf files to _files and (3) insert hyperlinks to the Adobe files, save and publish/FTP to the host server. It's probably a good idea to alert viewers that they need (if they don't already have it) a free Adobe Reader to open the respective files + provide a link to same. Welcome to OutFront!
